The trailer for Jurassic World was released today and I’m hyperventilating into a paper bag to calm down. Jurassic Park has been one of my favorite movies since it came out in 1993 (I still have the VHS) and the theme superheats the cockles of my heart. Jurassic Park is the reason that more people know what a T Rex is (despite its extinction more than 65 million years ago) than who know that the Internet and World Wide Web are two different things.

See the trailer here. Jurassic World is due out in theaters June 12, 2015.

Jurassic Park is a religious experience, especially if you’re Catholic and get the 1981 hymn Here I Am, Lord confused with John Williams’ theme song.

  1. God creates dinosaurs.
  2. God destroys dinosaurs.
  3. God creates man.
  4. Man destroys God.
  5. Man creates dinosaurs.
  6. Man creates dinosaur theme song that sounds like a hymn about God.
