Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” Released

Who would have honestly expected this though?

After months of speculation, releases announced by Foot Locker and other retailers, release cancellations by these same retailers, Nike has actually gone ahead and released the last Kanye West designed sneaker – the Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” today on its own Nike.com online store without any warning.

Like I said, this is absolutely bullshit. Priced at $245, you can imagine that the sneakers sold out in practically seconds. Ok, that is a bit of a stretch as I am known to exaggerate regularly. To be correct, the full lot of Yeezy 2′s sold in the matter of just 11 minutes which is still crazy considering there was absolutely no warning or promotion based around this. Will it still get a more general store release? Who knows. Chances are, this is it.

As Kanye is already working on his first adidas collection, I wonder how he will react to the drop. For those out there with a pair, the rest of us are insanely jealous.
